Govenor Mark Sanford who called for the impeachment of and resignation of Bill Clinton because of his trist with extra-marital felatio, feels no similiar compulson to resign, over his very long and very active extra-marital relationship with a citizen of Argentina provided courtesy trips paid for with public tax money. He says he will not resign to satisfy critics who do not like him anyway. (He probably can't resign until the C-street ["The Family"] money-god cult he is a member of gives him permission to resign anyway. And they no doubt want access to control of South Carolina reguardless of how it may publically shame and humiliate the Republican party or hurt the STATE and it's citizens) The Lieut. Gov is a Republican too, so replacing obstructionist "A" with obstructionist "B" is not going make a lot of difference for the state or the country. In the mean time, until Mark Sanford resigns, everyone has the opportunity to be reminded on a daily basis why Republicans were voted out of office throughout the rest of the country on the national scene. So, I am glad he remains in office. I hope he continues to serve as a public embarrasment to the Republican party as long as he can. He is like a national billboard, free public advertising to daily point out Republican hypocrisy, and remind voters why they over-whelmingly rejected this dysfunctional defunct political party in the last election!
