"In their eagerness to coexist with the [Nazi] government, American officials of the German Church resorted to public relation efforts . . . Probably the clearest example of this tendency is an article by West German Mission President Alfred C. Rees entitled 'In the Land of the Mormons.' The article appeared in a special issue of the Nazi Party organ Der Volkische Beobachter dated April 14 1937. In the Editor's Preface to the article, President Rees is called 'the representative of the Church in Germany,' who 'paints for our readers a portrait of Mormonism today, a church which views the New Germany with sympathy and friendship.' Whether President Rees originally wrote the article in German or not, the language of the piece abounds in such loaded terms as Volk and Rasse (race), and a picture of Brigham Young bears the caption, 'Fuhrer der historischen Mormonenpioniere.' But the significance of these linguistic gaffes is magnified by hindsight. More disturbing is the way President Rees blatantly parallels Mormonism with Nazism. As Rees warms to his topic, Mormonism begins to sound like a fulfillment of Nazi teachings, providing 'the practical realization of the German ideal: "the common good takes precedence over the individual good."' Rees concluded by assuring his readers that 'Mormons are people who put this healthy doctrine into action.' Reading articles such as this, it would have been easy for a German Saint to mistakenly conclude that the seal of official Church approval had been placed on the Nazi regime."

The LDS Church's racism isn't just from some isolated quote from one or two church leaders. The racist teaching from the Mormon pulpit is prolific and consistent over time. If God didn't agree with his prophets teaching these things in His church, then why did they continue over generations?

There's a big difference between folklore and Mormon scripture. When the president and prophet of the church stands at the pulpit and teaches the laws of God, that isn't folklore.

Some church members make the mistake of dismissing the racist statements of 19th-century Mormon leaders as "their own opinion," "not official doctrine," "products of their times," etc.

Those same church members assert that the only "official doctrine" is the Standard Works and official statements of the First Presidency, and that if some leaders said something that didn't come from those sources, it isn't "binding on the membership," and it isn't "canon" or "official doctrine."

However, an official statement of the LDS Church First Presidency issued on August 17, 1951, reads:

"The position of the LDS Church regarding the Negro may be understood when another doctrine of the church is kept in mind, namely, that the conduct of spirits in the pre-mortal existence has some determining effect upon the conditions and circumstances under which these spirits take on mortality, and that while the details of this principle have not been made known, the principle itself indicates that the coming to this earth and taking on mortality is a privilege that is given to those who maintained their first estate; and that the worth of the privilege is so great that spirits are willing to come to earth and take on bodies no matter what the handicap may be as to the kind of bodies they are to secure; and that among the handicaps, failure of the right to enjoy in mortality the blessings of the priesthood is a handicap which spirits are willing to assume in order that they might come to earth. Under this principle there is no injustice whatsoever involved in this deprivation as to the holding of the priesthood by the Negroes....."

Since it's obvious from this official First Presidency statement that church leaders taught and believed that people are born as Negroes because of their behavior in the pre-existence---

---then the fact that Negroes are still being born by the tens of thousands every day tells us that the God of Mormonism has never lifted the "curse of Cain," despite having the priesthood ban rescinded.

Church members are terribly mistaken when they say that the "curse of Cain" teachings were "folklore" and "not official doctrine."

(If this guy's antics do not shock and disgust you, you probably regularly vomit green slime and have a head that spins 360 on your shoulders. The admonition not to "demonize your political opponents" assumes your political opponents are not actually already demonic?)


The rate at which the Koch Industries funded Americans for Prosperity (AFP) churns out front groups to promote its right-wing corporate agenda sets the organization out among similar conservative “think tanks.” This week, AFP created their latest front group called “Patients United Now,” an entity set up to defeat health care reform. Patients United follows a familiar pattern AFP has used for their other front groups: create a new stand alone website, fill it with lines like “We are people just like you” to give the site a grassroots feel, and then use the new group to recruit supporters and run deceptive advertisements attacking reform. This “astroturfing” model has been used by AFP to launch groups pushing distortions against other progressive priorities:

– The “Hot Air Tour” promoting global warming skepticism and attacking environmental regulations.
– “Free Our Energy,” a group promoting increased domestic drilling.
– The “Save My Ballot Tour,” a group that pays Joe the Plumber to travel around the country smearing the Employee Free Choice Act.
– “No Climate Tax,” a group dedicated to the defeat of Clean Energy Economy legislation.
– “No Stimulus,” a group launched to try to stop the passage of the Recovery Act.

Notably, AFP was also instrumental in orchestrating the anti-Obama, anti-tax tea party protests in April.

With nearly 70 Republican operatives and former oil industry spokesmen working behind the scenes of AFP’s various fronts and disclosures that point to ever increasing oil and corporate donations to the group, one must wonder, who is guiding this massive front group factory? The answer is Tim Phillips, the President of AFP who has built a long career of inventing fake grassroots causes. In Phillips’ official biography, there appears to be over a 10 year gap — but that period was when Phillips developed his very first astroturf groups to do everything from smearing his opponents with anti-Semitic attacks to laundering money for criminal lobbyists.

As a Virginia-based political consultant, Phillips got his first big break managing the campaign of Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA). After serving as Goodlatte’s chief of staff for four years, Phillips joined former Christian Coalition director Ralph Reed in 1997 to create an astroturf lobbying and campaign consulting operation called Century Strategies. The firm promised to mount “grassroots lobbying drives” and explained its strategy as “it matters less who has the best arguments and more who gets heard — and by whom.”

After being recommended by Karl Rove, Century Strategies signed its first major corporate client – Enron. Phillips and Reed were paid $380,000 to mobilize “religious leaders and pro-family groups” to push energy deregulation in Congress and on the state level, a policy shift that led to the energy crisis and economic meltdown of 2001. The Washington Post reported that the pair informed Enron that they had leveraged their relationships with members of Congress and “placed” articles in prominent papers like the New York Times.

Part of Phillip’s role at Century Strategies was to manage the firm’s direct mail subsidiary, Millennium Marketing. In 1998, now disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff hired Phillips’ firm to pressure members of Congress to vote against legislation that would have made the U.S. commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands subject to federal wage and worker safety laws. A federal report “found that Chinese women were subject to forced abortions and that women and children were subject to forced prostitution in the local sex-tourism industry.” Nonetheless, Phillips sent out mailers claiming Chinese workers “are exposed to the teachings of Jesus Christ” while on the islands, and many “are converted to the Christian faith and return to China with Bibles in hand.” The mailers then encouraged the recipients to contact lawmakers and ask them to oppose the Marianas labor reform legislation.

The Marianas stealth lobbying effort was not the only time Phillips worked with Abramoff. Reed and Phillips conspired to generate conservative Christian outrage towards gambling at Indian casinos in a cynical plot to encourage those same tribes to hire Abramoff to lobby on their behalf. In some cases, Phillips’ anti-gambling crusade would simply be part of an effort to kill off competition to Abramoff’s clients. And while Phillips and Reed postured to be motivated by anti-gambling Christian values, the pair helped launder lobbying money from an Abramoff Internet gambling client called eLottery.

Though Phillips and Reed are best known in the campaign consulting world for engineering the dual victories of Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) and Republican Gov. Sonnie Perdue in Georgia (by associating images of Osama bin Laden with the incumbent Democratic senator), the pair can also be credited with the most below the belt tactics ever seen in modern Republican primaries. The duo “spearheaded” the telemarketing and direct mail efforts for George Bush against John McCain in the 2000 primaries. It is widely believed that Century Strategies executed the mass mailers and robo-calls which accused McCain of fathering an illegitimate child with a black woman, using the image of McCain’s adopted daughter from Bangladesh.

Phillips’ brass knuckled hits on fellow Republicans almost prevented the only Jewish Congressman in the GOP caucus from ever being elected. Phillips set up a 527 called “The Faith and Family Alliance,” a group supposedly designed to support conservative and Christian causes. But like his other front groups, Phillips used the Family Alliance to simply slime his political opponents with an organization that appeared to represent a grassroots community. The Richmond Times Dispatch reported that Phillips was hired by State Sen. Stephen Martin to manage his direct mail campaign against State Del. Eric Cantor in the 2000 Republican primary for the Congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Tom Bliley (R-VA). Phillips used his Family Alliance to blast robo-calls and mass mailers claiming Cantor did not represent “Virginia values” and that his opponent was the “only Christian in the contest.”

Larry Sabato, a political analyst and the director of University of Virginia’s Center for Politics, noted:

A despicable, underground campaign that was unquestionably anti-Semitic nearly beat Cantor in the GOP primary for U.S. House to succeed Tom Bliley in June 2000. Cantor had been heavily favored over state Sen. Steve Martin, but in the end he won by a couple hundred votes. Now the national and state GOP appears grateful for its lone Jewish House member — but the Republican base and some Christian groups almost insured his defeat. I’m amazed that Democrats and even Republicans haven’t raised this matter.

Indeed, after the Phillips’ anti-Semitic attacks, Cantor went from being high in the polls to barely winning the primary by a mere 264 votes. Phillips still holds rallies – under the umbrella of AFP – to boost his old client Sen. Martin.

Phillips managed to escape most of the controversy that eventually embroiled his partners Reed and Abramoff. Working under the slush fund provided by oil baron David Koch – with a salary approaching $300,000 a year and at least a $7 million annual budget – Phillips continues to lead AFP in building front group after front group to advance his radical right wing agenda

Alan Grayson held up a Harvard peer reviewed medical journal article citing that over 44,000 Americans a year are killed in America as a result of no health care. Since 2001, Republicans have stood by and watched 352,000 Americans get killed by Health Insurance company lobbyists. That makes them statistically a greater real threat to Americans than Al Qeida. How much have we spent to stop the killing of Americans by Health Insurance Lobbyists?

Alan Grayson was asked to apologize. Not because he violated any rules. Not because what he said wasn't true. But because the Republicans said it hurt their feelings. Evidently, their "feelings" are more important to them than the lives of 352,000 Americans. (Which probably explains the numbers you see racing to oblivion above)

It's time to stop killing for the wounded ego of Republicans who failed to do their job and keep America safe from attack when the memo it was coming sat on their desks, and start saving American lives.

THE END GAME OF THE "CONSERVATIVE" REICH-WING

One thing you have to understand about Republicans is that their political M/O is (and has been for a long time) to actually engage political double-speak. For example, if you want to "defend slavery" you call it "freedom", and those who died to keep it "Freedom fighters" LOL!! I'm laughing, but this is totally real. This is the logic that turns violent rhetoric about over-throwing the US government and assassinating the president into something "Patriots" do. You know... "Patriots" like John Wilkes Booth, Fritz Duquesne, Joseph McCarthy, Lee Harvey Oswald or Benedict Arnold... THOSE KINDS of "Patriots".

I did some reading this week-end on THE NATIONAL REVIEW magazine. It was the standard bearer for American Conservatism for decades and is one of the most influential (intellectualism) in the "CPAC" crowd. What is amazing is that recently it published an article defending "Segregationism" (which William F. Buckley) had originally defended, and the article was designed to point out that "See! He was right all along!" When you go back and listen to the "logic" of this original article, it is pure old-fashioned "White Supremacist" ideology.

When you read about what is happening in the Republican CPAC crowd these days, you will discover they are turning toward something called "Paleo-conservatism", the "next step" beyond "neo-conservatism". Most people in America don't even know what these words mean, but if you read the stuff Glen Beck (and 9-12 company) are pushing you are going to find the root of all the stupid weird insane crap you are seeing on the TV with these people, from secessionism to .open calls for white supremacy on FOX NEWS.

Remember the bizarre claims by the radio nazis that the reason they had their clock cleaned in the last election was not because they were regressing back to the spanish inquisition, but that they were not CONSERVATIVE ENOUGH? Anyway, back to the double-opposite of Republican speak, they will use this NWO paranoia to get a crowd out on the national mall, but they are actually the chief purveyors of the NWO (the kind the nuts are actually worried about). There is a "New Word Order" everytime there is an American election, and global government is simply a necessary and an evolutionary inevitability (unless you wish people to keep killing each other over every little dispute that arises) The Geneva Conventions, the UN, the Hague, etc., these are all important landmarks in modern civilization (not the "great Satan")...and it is idiotic beyond description to talk about walking away from them. That is precisely the kind of stuff Hitler did (and GW Bush) and look where it gets you.

The fact is that in the Wikipedia article you will see two "alliances" in Paleo-conservatism mentioned: Southern Agrarians and Traditionalist Catholicism. That's nice neutral language for the Southern Plantation owners and their Jesuit Slave Traders via the Vatican. (The Southern racist and the Vatican) just as it "aligned" during the Civil War era which nearly destroyed the country, and killed more Americans than any other war in the history of the country.

The Vatican is the one who sees it's mission as a global Roman empire and "by whatever means necessary". They spurred the civil war on, promised to fund it from Europe, and the Papacy corresponded with the Confederate secessionist president, citing him as a legitimate official of an official state.

Afterwards there were large numbers of "desertions" in the Union army among Irish-Catholic soldiers. This story (and it's alignments) repeats itself in the FDR era, the same people all over again. The southerners and the Catholics, in the 1930s this became the KKK and the Nazis.

During the civil war, most southerners involved in cooperation with the Jesuit slave trade were Baptists. The regular Baptist ananthemized slavery and slave owners, so the "Southern" Baptists, split off, forming thier own Church, known todays as the "Southern Baptists". That's how this Church actually got started. Defending the killing of people to protect Jeffersonian race-based slavery. (That's another reason why they keep quoting Jefferson) He may have been a "founding father" but he was also a sleezebag. While he was writing about the racial inferiority of blacks, he was busy raping his slave women, and accidently making babies by them. Jefferson was a national disgrace who happened to be one of the wealtheist Virginian landowners in existence, so naturally he got to run everything. It was largely because of his filthy corrupt mind, and ignorant writings, the civil war became an eventual national destiny. And it is really funny that these religious Reich-wingers like to quote him all the time, because he despised the Bible and the idea of God presented by religion. He was a nail-spitting Deist.(Of course you would never know that listening to Religious-Reich idiots quote him like he's some kind of patronized saint)

In Catholicism, there are many progressive Catholics who oppose this sort of stuff, but unlike Baptists, unconditional subservience to the Pope is part of the belief system, so, your options as a progessive Catholic are you keep your faith, and obey your Nazi Pope, or you live with the contradiction that you openly defy the Papacy, but still call yourself a Catholic and hope someone doesn't excommunicate you, until a new Pope is elected (hopefully better). It is the same construct many Iranian Muslims face with their supreme Shiia leader who speaks in exaclty the same "infallible" manner as the Roman Pontiff.

That's why when these religions go "fundementalist" on you, you will begin to see some serious problems in societies. That's what constitutes the majority of the Republican party these days, and the totality of FOX NEWS. That is why FOX NEWS is so dangerous. And in keeping with the stated teaching of Catholic fundementalism espoused by Ignatius Loyola (founder of the Jesuits and it's Jesuit slave trade), the use of complete intentional deciet (baseless fabricated propaganda) is completely "sanctified" by the "Church" if it helps achieve an end which advances Vatican world control. None of this is "conspiracy theory". This is actually real historical fact, and public knowledge you can find anywhere and everywhere.

This stuff has British Protestants very concerned by what they see happening in America (and in their own country), knowing that their own country (via Tony Blair & company) were virtually yoked to the same destination.

Ironically, the NWOers protesting at the "Tea Parties" are actually working for the very people putting that NWO in place. (the actual New World Order that actually would do the kinds of things they fear, centered at the Vatican as opposed to the UN) One of the stated primary goals of the Vatican's NWO is domination of the US through the democratic process filling the majority of government posts, or it's destruction. (plain and simple) in other words, we will own it, or we will destroy it. (How is this any different than Islamic Jihadism?) it's not.

The Skull and Bones was started by William Huntington after he returned from Germany and having studied with the Thule Society. There is a direct historical link between the Skull and Bones and the under-pinnings of the Nazi movement in Germany, and no doubt how Prescott Bush got involved in the first place. William F. Buckley was a very influential member of Skull & Bones. The campus building at Yale called "The Tomb" built two new towers on it's rear entrance in 1911. Van Jones was allegedly fired over stating he believed Bush "permitted" the attack, not executed mind you, just "permitted" (as many democrats quietly and privately do at least suspect). The identification as a communist in his young stupid college days didn't do it, even though that was Glen Beck's intended target. I don't know about 9-11, nor do I care as there is nothing anyone can do about it now anyway. Bush already has Texas threatening (and positioned) to secede from the Union if democrats push on this war crime issue over torture, and that is probably why Obama's people have dropped the discussion. They know they are in over their heads on that one.

The toothless trailer-park peasant grunts showing up at these "Tea Party" rallies have no clue how wickedly they are being manipulated to still serve the crap George Bush is tearing up this country with.

PS. Glenn Beck, although raised Catholic is a now famous convert to Mormonism. Despite his new found Mormon affiliation, he continued his Catholic allegiances as most Reich-wingers do (per the political program) by hosting Will Donahue. (That's the guy now famous for decrying "bigotry" against the religion of the Roman Empire by pointing out Hollywood Jews would Sodomize their grandmothers for a buck) Beck's cloaked racial tyraids may be no mere accident especially if he has rejected Mormon progressives and given himself over to the more "fundementalist" aspects of Mormonism. The Mormon Church had historically identified "Blacks" as the "curse of Cain" in the Bible and actually refused them Church leadership (and prior Church membership at all) all the way into the 1970s. Sarah Palin's theological roots are not much better. Her's come from William Brahnan, who taught it was a "sin" to "inter-marry", and children of inter-racial marriages were the "seed of the serpent", the "seed of Cain" and "the Antichrist" (angles which kept not their first estate and married "strange flesh"). Because Brahnan was a Pentecostalist and the Pentecostal movement was favored by many African-Americans, Brahnan could not go the full distance on racism, as the Mormons had in their theology, but chose to reflect in his theology the "Segregationism" of the day in which he preached. His racist devil therefore targeted the then illegal idea of "inter-marriage". (The same kind of "anti-Race-mixin" theology once famous at Bob Jones University in Joe Wilson's South Carolina) Funny how it all ties together. Look under all the various "conservative" rugs, and you will keep finding the same old dirt swept under them all, and unfortunately like a Boa Constrictor it infiltrates religious institutions and wraps itself around the word "God" so tight until the life is choked out of it's victim and nothing remains but the big nasty snake.

This summer, Beck said:

This president has exposed himself as a guy over and over and over again who has a deep-seated hatred for white people... this guy is, I believe, a racist.

That statement fits into a pattern of rhetoric from Beck designed to stoke racial paranoia and fear. He has claimed that President Obama has a "reparation appetite" and a desire to use his policies to settle old racial scores. Beck's overall plan is to create an atmosphere in which the White House can accomplish nothing, and he's carrying it out by preying on race-based fears and mobilizing hate. Beck relies on dishonesty, distortion and exaggeration, and he is embarking on character assassinations of Obama administration officials with whom he disagrees.

FOX has a horrible track record on pushing racist propaganda, but Glenn Beck appears to be taking the network to an even lower standard. He's trying to divide and distract America when we should be coming together and talking about issues that really matter--like health care and the economy.

MARK SANFORD'S RESIGNATION?

Govenor Mark Sanford who called for the impeachment of and resignation of Bill Clinton because of his trist with extra-marital felatio, feels no similiar compulson to resign, over his very long and very active extra-marital relationship with a citizen of Argentina provided courtesy trips paid for with public tax money. He says he will not resign to satisfy critics who do not like him anyway. (He probably can't resign until the C-street ["The Family"] money-god cult he is a member of gives him permission to resign anyway. And they no doubt want access to control of South Carolina reguardless of how it may publically shame and humiliate the Republican party or hurt the STATE and it's citizens) The Lieut. Gov is a Republican too, so replacing obstructionist "A" with obstructionist "B" is not going make a lot of difference for the state or the country. In the mean time, until Mark Sanford resigns, everyone has the opportunity to be reminded on a daily basis why Republicans were voted out of office throughout the rest of the country on the national scene. So, I am glad he remains in office. I hope he continues to serve as a public embarrasment to the Republican party as long as he can. He is like a national billboard, free public advertising to daily point out Republican hypocrisy, and remind voters why they over-whelmingly rejected this dysfunctional defunct political party in the last election!
